After School Program Facilitator (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and deliver engaging physical activity, nutrition and health & wellness based
programming for children in grades 1-6, in high priority neighbourhoods across the City
of Hamilton
● Create a welcoming environment for children that encourages daily participation
● Maintain professional and respectful relationships with fellow employees, supervisors,
school staff, parents/guardians and community members.

Cook at Child Care Site (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in menu planning, adhere to Canada’s Food Guide, and incorporate dietary restrictions/requests of all participants
  • Ensure compliance with all Public Health regulations and guidelines and inspection recommendations
  • Be a primary contact, along with the appropriate Supervisor, for Public Health communication and inspections
  • Prepare, cook and serve the menus, ensuring that all foods are nutritious and appetizing in appearance/taste

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver program plans while implementing, engaging, creative activities
• Follow appropriate program models and mandates (academic success, middle years focused, youth pre-employment, positive youth mental health, youth leadership)
• Create a welcoming environment for children and youth that encourages daily participation, belonging, expression and well-being

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will provide safe, effective and efficient delivery of BGC Hamilton-Halton aquatics programming including supervision of camp swims, open swims, lane swims, swimming lessons, and aqua fit
  • Administration of first aid and pool maintenance, including but not limited to pool tests, vacuuming and cleaning

Recreation Program Supervisor (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create programs that allow youth to discover interests, talents, and new hobbies
  • Recruit, supervise, actively mentor and train staff and volunteers
  • Encourage and promote lifelong learning and healthy lifestyles to children, youth and families
  • Develop and implement programs based on member feedback
  • Ensure quality, evidence-based programs are delivered
