Board Treasurer CPA (Volunteer)

The Treasurer provides financial expertise to the Board. New term to begin in September 2022. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review with the Executive Director and Finance Manager all income and expenditures of the Organization,
  • Provide regular reports to the Board on the financial state of the Organization,
  • Present the annual budget and budget projections to the Board,
  • Ensure that the Organization maintains good financial standing under the laws of Ontario, Canada, the Organization Bylaws, and BGC Canada,

Full-Time Program Supervisor, Recreation Program

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create programs that allow youth to discover interests, talents, and new hobbies
  • Recruit, supervise, actively mentor and train staff and volunteers
  • Encourage and promote lifelong learning and healthy lifestyles to children and youth
  • Develop and implement programs based on member feedback

Part-Time Let's Get Moving Facilitator

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and deliver engaging physical activity, nutrition and health & wellness based
programming for children in grades 1-6, in high priority neighbourhoods across the City
of Hamilton
● Create a welcoming environment for children that encourages daily participation
● Maintain professional and respectful relationships with fellow employees, supervisors,
school staff, parents/guardians and community members.

Part-Time Outreach Facilitator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging physical activity, nutrition and health & wellness based programming for children in grades 1-6, in high priority neighbourhoods across the City of Hamilton

  • Engage with participants in a meaningful way that encourages their growth, confidence, independence and social skills

Part-Time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will provide safe, effective and efficient delivery of BGC Hamilton-Halton aquatics programming including supervision of camp swims, open swims, lane swims, swimming lessons, and aquafit.  
  • Administration of first aid and pool maintenance, including but not limited to pool tests, vacuuming and cleaning.
