Tyler Ouwendyk, owner of Momentum Fitness, is challenging himself to climb 29,029 ft. and raise over $29,029 in support of BGC Hamilton-Halton.
In August, Tyler will travel to Whistler to compete in the “29029 Everesting Race”. He will have 36 hours to climb Whistler’s Blackcomb Mountain eight times, which accumulates to 29,029 feet – the equivalent height of Mt. Everest.
“Life brings on many difficult challenges and obstacles, which at times, can feel like an impossible mountain to climb. The goal of ‘Moving Mountains for Kids’ is to inspire children and youth to believe in themselves and reach their fullest potential. Through preparation, hard work, and resiliency, they can accomplish anything,” says Tyler.
Every day, Tyler encourages his clients, friends and family to be the best version of themselves – just like BGC Hamilton-Halton does with Club members. To motivate and inspire him to complete this physically and mentally strenuous challenge, our long-time friend and supporter is raising money in support of BGC Hamilton-Halton.
Tyler’s goal is to raise $29,029 – the total number of feet he will climb!
