Conversation Circles
Funded by IRCC, conversation circles are designed to help newcomers develop their English language skills through informal conversations. Join our facilitators and they guide you through stories, tongue twisters, practice dialogues, and more! Must be a permanent resident to join. This program is running virtually.
Ages: 18+
Available in the following languages:
Arabic: Mondays 1:00-2:00pm
Spanish: Mondays 5:00-6:00pm
Community Connections for Newcomer Youth
The Community Connections Program for youth provides services to newcomers to encourage social, cultural and professional interactions to help them in their settlement journey to Canada. This is a registered program for Permanent Residents and Government Assisted Refugees. This program is running virtually.
Ages: 13-24
Fridays 5:30-6:30pm
Newcomer Parent and Child Cooking
This program is designed for newcomer parents 18+ and their children to cook together and learn new recipes. Through cooking, parents and children will have a time to bond over cooking while meeting other newcomer families in Hamilton. Spaces are limited. Must be a permanent resident or government assisted refugee. This program is running virtually.

Women’s Space
Participants in this program will discuss topics on mental health & wellness, resources in Hamilton, employment, and family dynamics. Spaces limited. Must be a permanent resident or government assisted refugee. This program is running virtually.

2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Programs
Positive Spaces
Positive Spaces is a youth-led initiative whose purpose is to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. Youth will have access to a safe space where they can share their struggles and joys around their sexual orientation and gender identities. The youth will set out the agenda, and how the program will run with staff supporting program planning and cover topics such as relationships, safety, and outreach. This program is running in person at Centre Mall.

Gender Inclusive Programs
GirlsZONE
GirlsZONE programs provide fun, inclusive, safe space for girls in the community. This program offers a wide variety of activities that facilitate conversations around gender centered issues and provide opportunities to build confidence, self-esteem, and self-advocacy within the participants. Programming includes creative, physical, and wellness based activities. This program is running in-person at our Ellis Club.

Girls Fit
Self-identifying girls between the ages of 6-12 will get involved with physical wellness in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. Girls fit is not limited to sport based programming, but will also include fitness, personal wellness, nutritional education, with aspects of goal setting. Program in partnership with Hamilton Fitness Community. This program is running in-person at our Ellis Club.
