In order to continue safely offering programs to the youth of our community, we’ve shifted many of our programs to go virtual!

Arts & Crafts Night

Arts and crafts nights give kids the opportunity to partake in various arts and crafts based activities. The program focuses on teaching them new creative based skills, lets them express themselves through art as well as having lots of opportunity for family engagement. 

Michaels gift cards will be provided to the families along with shopping lists for each session’s materials.

Ages 7-12

Ballet/Lyrical Dance

Develop body awareness, coordination, flexibility, strength and correct ballet positions. Participants will learn a variety of steps and techniques through games and play as well as work toward learning a ballet routine. Our dance programs focus on building confidence in movement through dance and play.

Ages 3-12

Discovery Lab

Discovery Lab engages kids in science concepts through an interactive 8-week curriculum that connects science to real world contexts. The program focuses on hands-on experiments, increases understanding of scientific approaches, and creates opportunities for problem solving, idea refinement, and iterative learning.

Ages 7-12

Family Multi-Sport

Family multisport participants will get involved with physical activity and sport in an inclusive and fun environment with support from their guardian. Participants will focus on a different sport each week and develop physical literacy skills, body awareness and confidence through movement and play!

Ages 3-6

Fit for Sport

Fit for Sport participants will get involved with physical wellness in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. Fit for Sport participants will focus on different elements of being a successful athlete including endurance, hydration, goal setting, agility, strength training and more!

Ages 6-12

Girls Fit

Female participants will get involved with physical wellness in a safe, inclusive and fun environment. Girls fit is not limited to sport based programming, but will also include fitness, personal wellness, and nutritional education. Program is in partnership with Hamilton Fitness Community.

Ages 6-12

GirlsZone

GirlsZONE programs provide fun, inclusive, safe space for girls in the community. This program offers a wide variety of activities that facilitate conversations around gender centered issues and provide opportunities to build confidence, self-esteem, and self-advocacy within the participants. Programming includes creative, physical, and wellness based activities. ​

Jazz Dance

Ages 3-12

Kid Food Nation

Kid Food Nation is a national initiative that helps kids and families develop food skills through hands-on experiences related to planning, preparing, and cooking. The program also features an online hub with resources for healthy eating and meal preparation, and a national recipe competition that encourages kids to put their food literacy skills into practice and submit original, healthy, and nutritious recipes.

LeadUP

The objective of the LeadUP project is to provide youth with opportunities to engage in service and volunteering initiatives that will address community needs and allow youth to develop life and employment skills as well as self-confidence and leadership abilities.

Grades 9-12

Let’s Get Moving

Let’s Get Moving is a registered after-school program offered throughout the school year. It focuses on physical activity, nutrition, personal health and well-being. Participants will be provided with a gift card to purchase nutritious snacks when registered. Tablets are available to sign out upon request.

Grades 1-6

Literacy Club

Literacy Club offers participants an opportunity to help develop a lifelong love for reading and writing. Together we will read and discuss what goes on in the book we are reading, as well as take that knowledge and create our own short stories, step by step! Book and Kits will be provided for pick up from BGCHH

Ages 7-12

STEAM Ahead

We are going full steam ahead on fun! Mixing visual, auditory, and hands-on activities to engage different learning styles, STEAM Ahead encourages participants to explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) fundamentals through hands-on, experiential learning.

Ages 10-12

Roblox Adventures

Roblox Adventures offers a fun, safe learning environment where participants learn how to code, use their creativity, build relationships with others, and have fun! We go through a 5 week program that will teach us how to code, design and interact with lots of different virtual environments. A main component in this program will be the group creating their own world and games!

Participants must have a personal device that has the Roblox app downloaded and an account created.
